Modern tractors, such as the New Holland T6 series with the T9.125 4.5L AT engine, operate under constant and high loads. The engine’s electronic control unit (ECU), a Boch EDC17CV41 equipped with a TC1797 processor, controls all aspects of operation, influencing traction, fuel efficiency, and service life. ECU remapping is an adjustment of the software that allows adapting the engine’s performance to specific operating conditions. For tractors where stable operation in demanding conditions is important, we optimize engine performance, focusing on increasing torque to 528 Nm and improving throttle response. This allows for the effective use of 92 kW of power during field work.
It is also possible to disable the EGR and DPF systems, which is particularly relevant for equipment operating in dusty environments, and helps maintain optimal performance. During the ECU remapping process, factory settings are replaced with more suitable ones, taking into account the specific operating characteristics of the tractor. We analyze data from sensors, adjust fuel and ignition maps to achieve an optimal balance between power, fuel efficiency, and reliability.
